With the above in mind, in 2018, in a small town in North East Romania, Rugby Club Gura Humorului was formed…a story about perseverance, transparency and the courage to always move forward, no matter how small the steps may be.
Gura Humorului has always been home to many valuable rugby players. The year 2018 is not accidental, as it marks 50 years since the appearance of rugby in the region – this nursery of Romanian rugby, in a region called Bucovina – too beautiful to be described.
Our idea started off as an humanitarian act, developed by the Te Aud România Foundation, through the Rugby for all project. In partnership with local, regional and national actors, we began to write on the pages of history “the most beautiful and honest sports story of recent years’, as one of our supporters said!
Our story evolves year upon year….and we invite you to be part of it!
